Bobby Gellert is the Founder and Owner of Shares of New York Marketing LLC, a fully integrated and socially aware full service real estate marketing company utilizing state of the art technologies, software and applications to assist buyers and sellers with home sale transactions located in Queens and Westchester. Bobby has been a real estate broker since 1996 and is a Certified Buyers Representative (CBR).
For the past 21 years, Bobby has spent the majority of his time investing in and operating multi-family and hospitality assets valued in excess on $2.5 Billion on behalf of institutional and high net worth investors. Earlier in his career Bobby was responsible for originating, creating and executing accelerated sale marketing campaigns on behalf of financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies consummating thousands of successful home sale and corporate surplus asset transactions.
Bobby was born at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, grew up in Clearview Gardens in Whitestone and attended P.S. 209 elementary school. He played baseball and basketball in Tony De Philips Athletic League (DAC) during the 1970’s, played college baseball at SUNY Albany in the 1990’s and is currently a volunteer coach on the Horace Greeley High School varsity baseball team in Chappaqua, NY where he lives with his wife Lauren and daughters Zoe and Marley.
In 2004, Bobby purchased approximately 240 sponsor cooperatives located at Le Havre on the Water, a fully amenitized community as well as Cryder Point both located in the Beechhurst enclave of Whitestone. It was at this time that Shares of New York was created to initially act as the exclusive marketing and sales agent for sponsor homes owned, operated and renovated by Bobby and his partners. However, since 2011 Shares has been listing and selling homes on a re-sale basis for existing Le Havre and Cryder Point shareholders. To date, Shares has sold over 300 homes valued in excess of $160 Million.
Bobby maintains a strong belief in giving back to the community and is involved in various philanthropic causes including Zoes Heroes which raises money and awareness for pediatric chronic pain diseases, specifically Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). Bobby is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about utilizing his vast experience to serve and help buyers and sellers execute flawlessly on their dreams of home ownership, as well as, help Shares of New York team members realize their full potential as real estate brokers and position themselves to have a successful career.
